Swimming pool LED spotlights: enhance your evenings with CCEI and AstralPool

The pool doesn’t stop when the sun goes down. LED lighting turns your pool into a work of art in the middle of the garden. Gone are the days of 300W halogen spotlights that heat up, consume energy and light up yellow: now it’s time for LED technology, which is economical, durable and customizable.

At Astro Piscines, we specialize in lighting replacement. We install CCEI Mid-BRiO (France) and AstralPool LumiPlus Flexi (Europe) spotlights in Geneva and Vaud.

5 good reasons to switch to LED lighting

💡 Energy savings: a 24W LED spotlight replaces a 300W halogen. You divide your consumption by 12 and your electricity bill with it.

⏳ Lifespan: 30,000 to 50,000 hours vs. 2,000 hours for halogen. No more bulb changes for years.

🎨 Choice of colors: cool white, warm white, or multicolor RGB: create the ambience of your choice. Some models can be controlled via smartphone.

🔒 Safety: LEDs hardly heat up and operate on 12V. No risk of burns or electrocution.

📈 Enhancement: A tastefully lit pool adds value to your property and impresses your guests.

The advantage of the 160° angle: no more shadows

Most LED spotlights on the market diffuse light over 120°. The result: dark areas between spotlights, uneven lighting and the need to install more spotlights.

CCEI Mid-BRiO diffuses over 160°. The entire volume of water is evenly illuminated, from the bottom to the surface. It’s the only spotlight capable of totally eliminating shadows.

FAQ : Your questions about pool lighting

How many LED floodlights do I need for my pool?

For an 8×4 m rectangular pool, 2 Mid-BRiO spotlights are all you need, thanks to the 160° angle. For larger pools or free-form shapes, you’ll need 3 or more spotlights. We’ll draw up a personalized lighting plan during our visit.

What’s the difference between warm white (3000K) and cool white (6500K)?

Cool white (6500K) gives a modern “crystal-clear water” effect, ideal for contemporary pools. Warm white (3000K) creates a warmer, more natural ambience, perfect for stone or old-fashioned pools.

Can a halogen spotlight be replaced by an LED?

Yes, that’s our specialty! The CCEI Mid-BRiO screws directly into existing 1.5″ wall bushings. Designer bezels hide the traces of the old spotlight for a perfect finish.

How much power does an LED vs. halogen spotlight consume?

A 24W LED spotlight produces as much light (2600 lm) as a 300W halogen. You divide your electricity consumption by 12. Over a season, the savings are considerable.

Can RGB spotlights be controlled via smartphone?

Yes, the AstralPool Flexi “Connect” version can be controlled by application. For CCEI, color change is achieved by successive power cuts.

How long does an LED spotlight last?

Between 30,000 and 50,000 hours, or 15 to 25 years of normal use. As opposed to 2,000 hours for a halogen bulb. You won’t have to change bulbs for years.

Are CCEI spotlights compatible with shell pools?

Yes, CCEI offers specific wall penetrations for polyester shell pools (ref. PF10R324). Available in white, gray, anthracite, sand and 316L stainless steel.

Do I need to change the transformer to switch to LED?

Not necessarily. LEDs operate on 12V AC, just like halogens. If your transformer is in good condition and correctly sized, it can be kept. We systematically check this during our diagnosis.

Which cover to choose for my pool?

CCEI offers covers in White (RAL 9003), Grey (RAL 7040), Anthracite (RAL 7016), Sand (RAL 1015) and Stainless steel 316L. The choice depends on the color of your liner or tiles. Stainless steel is ideal for high-end pools.

How much does a complete LED lighting system cost?

The price depends on the number of projectors, the model (white or RGB), and the condition of your existing installations. We draw up a personalized quotation after a free technical visit.
