The Summum Flex bar cover is an approved safety device. Correctly installed and tensioned, it supports the weight of an adult and prevents access to the pool. The composite bars rest on the coping stones: the membrane is never in direct contact with the water.

Summum Flex is specially designed for snow-covered regions. Its 580 g/m² PVC membrane resists UV, frost and moderate snow loads. Integrated cavities allow rainwater to drain away. You can use it in summer to protect your pool between swims, and in winter for complete winterizing.

Summum Flex is supplied with a complete stainless steel and aluminium mounting system:
- Pitons douille Inox Alu: anchor in concrete slab (Ø12mm hole, 80mm depth)
- Tension straps with ratchets: for precise tension adjustment
- Adjustable “S” hooks: adapt to your coping configuration
- Anti-lift stainless steel fastening rings: hold the tarpaulin in place on the coping stones
Important: pitons must be anchored to a strong support (concrete slab ≥10 cm dosed at 350 kg/m³ or concrete studs 25×25×25 cm minimum).

Safety rules: vigilance is essential
⚠️ Important: The bar cover is a safety device, but it does not replace adult vigilance. A child can drown in less than 3 minutes.
- Supervision: always have a view of the pool when opening and closing.
- Tension: safety is only guaranteed when the cover is closed, tensioned and correctly installed.
- Support: minimum 20 cm on coping stones all around the pool
- Prohibited: It is strictly forbidden to climb, walk or jump on the cover.
- Storage: store cranks out of reach of children
- Snow: above 20 cm, remove snow from roof immediately
- Absence: always close the cover if you are absent, even for a short time.

FAQ – Frequently asked questions about swimming pool bar covers
Is a bar cover suitable for all pool shapes?
Yes, Summum Flex can be made to measure for rectangular pools, but also for free-form shapes (bean, oval, L, etc.). The cut is made at the factory according to the dimensions of your pool. The only restriction is that it is not suitable for overflow pools.
Can I leave the bar tarpaulin on all year round?
Yes, that’s what it’s all about. Summum Flex is designed for 4-season use: it protects your pool in summer between swims, and acts as a winter cover in winter. All you need to do is remove the snow if the layer of snow exceeds 20 cm.
How long does a bar tarpaulin last?
With regular maintenance, a quality bar cover will last between 8 and 12 years. The Summum Flex comes with a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty on bars, membrane, pitons, straps and pawls. Mechanical parts (cranks, reinforcements) are guaranteed for 1 year.
How long does it take to open or close the cover?
With a manual crank handle, it takes 2 to 3 minutes for a 10 m pool. With an iScoot motorized roller, the operation takes less than a minute. The iScoot 710 rolls up a 10 m cover in 50 seconds.
Does the bar cover heat the pool water?
No, the opaque bar cover does not heat the water. It limits evaporation and maintains the existing temperature, but has no solar effect. To heat your pool passively, opt for a bubble cover or a cover with solar polycarbonate blades.
